The problem

EV charging stations need a mobile app that talks to real hardware reliably — pairing over Bluetooth, exchanging live telemetry, starting and stopping sessions, and enforcing location rules — all while staying responsive on patchy mobile networks.

What I built

Built the Flutter app with MQTT over AWS IoT Core for live, bidirectional station telemetry.
Implemented the OCPP 1.6/2.0 charging protocol and Bluetooth LE pairing for station onboarding.
Added geofenced sessions so charging can be tied to a verified physical location.

Outcome

Live in production, managing real EV charging sessions over IoT messaging and Bluetooth.
